Pff recommends — language & cultural exchange meetings

Tandem Evening

Tandem Evening is a space for the multicultural and native population of Warsaw to practice foreign languages, learn about cultures and integrate into one community. The meetings take place every Monday starting at 7 PM in Obiekt Znaleziony (Galeria Zachęta).

The name ‘tandem’ comes from German and is defined as ‘a meeting of two persons who share their knowledge and learn together.’ Tandem Evening is based on this idea, but allows people to interchange freely during the evenings changing both speaking groups and languages. There is always one table for Polish language enthusiasts and all foreigners willing to practice Polish in a fun atmosphere are welcome to join. Meetings are open to everyone.

Find new information about Poland: “News, views and creative writing from the heart of Europe’

Cogo aims to be a readable news and commentary service, an online news site that also provides short, succinct articles reviewing the key editorial, commentary and opinion pieces in the major regional news outlets each day. Beyond news coverage, Cogo is also designed as a place for dialogue. We aim to be eclectic if nothing else, to encourage creative writing in and about CEE, part of a wider geopolitical branding exercise, perhaps, and/or a more modest attempt to educate ourselves - and our readers - about this fascinating part of the world. A focus on people. There is no limit, only quality writing and untold stories. We encourage unsolicited contributions: short stories, photos, poems, comments, essays. Above all we want people to enjoy what they write, be enthusiastic and have something to say. Cogo is flexible and will grow as it learns from its readers. We are looking for like-minded open-minded people wherever you may be.

Tandemprogramm für deutsche Muttersprachler

For German Speakers interested in practicing their Polish with Native Speakers in Warsaw
